December, 1999 – Inception
The founder of BTM Corporation,
Faisal Hoque
, argues in his first book,
e-Enterprise
(Cambridge University Press), that innovation in technology is meaningless unless we know how to take advantage of it with competitive business models and management processes that bring business and technology together.
Following the concept of the book, with encouragement from F50 corporate leaders and industry thought leaders, Mr. Hoque launched Enamics, Inc., in December 1999.
2000 – Market Research and Product R&D
Identified product/IP/solution strategy by collaborating with potential customers and G2000 CxOs.
Established vision and plan to create a one-stop solution to address the lack of structured management processes, analytical tools, knowledge and unbiased expert advice in the marketplace.
Outlined
BTM Framework
and released early prototype BTM Software Application Suite.
2001 – Product Launch
Commercialized the first generation of
BTM Software
, v1.0, with modeling and knowledge management capabilities.
Designed the first management framework definition.
Established a plan for the creation of a corporate brand with thought leadership and global influencers.
2002 – Market Launch
Published
The Alignment Effect
(Financial Times Prentice Hall) to claim the Business Technology Management (BTM) market category.
Designed and developed research, knowledge and template capabilities. Released v2.0 of collective product/IP offerings.
Completed the first commercial U.S. sale to
PACCAR, Inc
.
2003 – Customer Validation
The Alignment Effect
gained popularity among academics. Several major universities began teaching MBA courses around BTM.
Leveraging this popularity, Enamics launched the
BTM Institute
along with some of the most prominent academics and industry experts.
Released v3.0 of Product/IP with management dashboard capabilities.
2004 – Sales Commercialization
Developed the first generation of BTM standards with the
BTM Institute
and fully commercialized the
BTM Framework
.
Established international distribution partnerships in France and Italy, followed by the first international sale to the
French Social Security Service
.
Ranked #207 in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
